Great Lakes Families for
Informed Consent

Who We Are

We are a dedicated group of individuals from the Great Lakes region united by a common belief: every person has the right to make fully informed decisions about their health, livelihood, and well-being. Our organization, Great Lakes Families for Informed Consent, was founded on the principle that true freedom stems from having access to complete and transparent information.

In today’s complex world, making choices about medical treatments, lifestyle changes, or any decision that impacts our families can be overwhelming. We recognize the challenges faced by individuals and families when navigating the often-confusing landscape of healthcare and personal wellness. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to empower families with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.

We firmly believe that informed consent is more than just a signature on a form. It’s a process that requires full disclosure of information, including potential risks, benefits, and alternatives. Without this level of transparency, we believe true informed consent cannot exist. Our goal is to bridge the gap between families and the information they need to make confident, well-informed choices.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds, including healthcare professionals, educators, researchers, and concerned citizens. We are united in our commitment to promoting transparency, fostering open dialogue, and advocating for the rights of individuals to have complete information before making decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

Through community outreach, educational programs, and advocacy efforts, we strive to:

  • Provide families with access to comprehensive, unbiased information on health-related topics
  • Promote open discussions between healthcare providers and patients
  • Advocate for policies that protect and strengthen informed consent rights
  • Empower individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being decisions

We believe that a society built on informed consent is a stronger, healthier, and more just society. By championing this fundamental right, we aim to contribute to a future where every family in the Great Lakes region and beyond can make decisions with confidence, knowing they have all the necessary information at their disposal.

Join us in our mission to uphold the principles of informed consent and transparency. Together, we can build a community where knowledge empowers, and freedom of choice prevails.

Our Leadership

Hello, I am Jennifer, president of Great Lakes Families for Informed Consent. I am a Christian wife and homeschooling mother of two. Becoming a mother encouraged me to dive deeply into  how to keep our bodies healthy, naturally. From nutrition, to attachment parenting, to alternative methods of pain and illness  management. I’ve homebirthed and breastfed, and gone from selectively vaccinating to completely non vaccinating as I’ve dived deeper into my faith and understanding of God’s beautiful and perfect design. During the pandemic, I was horrified to see the gaslighting of brilliant medical professionals who were desperately seeking answers that didn’t involve the end of a needle. The way those in authority push their agenda and silenced any dissent from the official narrative terrified me. Our right to autonomy over our bodies is paramount without threats to our livelihoods. As such, this is why GLFiC was created. I’ve linked arms with like minded families in the community and together we demand transparency.

Hi there, my name is Sara, secretary of Great Lake Families for Informed Consent. I am a proud mama of two, and wife to my best friend. After following doctors recommendations, during the infancy of our two children, we witnessed severe reactions, altering their lives, and our family’s forever. I then dove headfirst into finding as much information as I could to help our children. I came to the realization that much more transparency and education is needed. With GLFiC, I hope to be a part in changing the future for informed consent and full transparency for everyone.
